This winter one of our favorite growers had trees full of Meyer lemons.

These lemons are small and a sweeter, milder version of the traditional lemon. They have a thin rind that s perfect for preserving.

We decided to add our own special blend of Ras el Hanout – a North African spice bland that translates to head of the shop and means a mixture of the best spices the shop has to offer. For this blend, we feature the best we have to offer mixed with our preserved Meyer lemons.

These lemons can be added to a tagine of cooked meat. We served them with steamed asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and a slices of the lemons.

A little taste of these bright, flavorful Meyer lemons will go a long way in each dish.
