Description

This we found a local grower that had Medlars. The medlar has been grown since Roman times. The fruit is tree ripened after a frost. Medlars are very unique and have a hint of apple taste with a bit of fermentation. 

We ve cooked the medlars into a sweet jam that has hints of apple and spice. 

A unique flavor that is lovely with cheeses and wine.
